I generally don't like people that are huge fans of modern pop country music. More times than not they are dullards that lack much intelligence.
Widespread Panic fans can be pretty insufferable, as can Phish fans. I like both bands, though not as high on WSP as I used to be, but I often times want to throat punch many of their fans.

The Fray and The Lumineers fans in Denver are obnoxious, and 90% of their fanbases here aren't even originally from Colorado but claim those bands as their own because they now live in Denver and the bands are "Denver bands"

Theyre a bunch of pretentious dirty smelly douchebags, who show up to festivals and sit in the front of whatever stage phish will be on and suck wind throughout all the other concerts only discussing phish and global peace and whatever other bullshite while leaving the places they sit a complete mess full of trash and clothing and towels and shite and talking down to everyone who wants to see any other band that day.
Thats just at festivals. Their solo concerts are horrendous. Their "musicians" in the band are so insanely over hyped and overrated by the plebeians that they've somehow gained recognition outside of the great unwashed masses that make up their fanbase.
Trey Anastasio is an embarrassment to guitarists everywhere. He should really just stop and I despise the despicable grunge brain rotted sheep that have inflated their sense of importance.

I've never met a guy that actually liked it. I've met many many many attractive woman in their lower 20s who absolutely love it. Every guy I've met that listens to it does so with the sole intention of getting laid, and it works. Modern pop country is targeted at young women and teenage boys and young women eat it up. I don't know how it's going over with teenage boys, though.
I can honestly say, it makes young country girls really horny for some reason.
