You should go the Jubans instead and get an undercooked steak.

My food there tasted just like Nola. It's at the top of the BR food chain for me. Oysters rock rocked.

This is just what I needed to dust off that $100 gift certificate.

Don't know how big the oysters will be right now, but I can eat the rock sauce by itself.

As long as you don't mind not being able to converse with anyone you're sitting with and shouting back and forth with your server to hear one another, the food is good.

This has always been my complaint and since I have tinnitus it was virtually impossible for me to hear. And I'm a fan of a vibrant, energetic restaurant but this was just plain loud with zero acoustics. I solved that problem by just getting a drink and an appetizer in the bar or sitting outside.

However I haven't been since early spring because I'm not sitting outside when it's Vietnam hot and someone posted a month or so ago they had added acoustic panels or acoustic clouds to dampen the noise.

I'm a bigger fan of Jubans but I will go see if this is true. The Godchaux salad is a great lunch.

I remember reading an article in BR Business Report that this has now been addressed and corrected.

Can anyone else confirm?

They added acoustic paneling and also added booths down the middle of the dining room floor. I didn't notice the noise (didn't think about it) the last time I went there so I guess it worked to some degree. It wasn't a packed house though.

Went this weekend. It was great. Service was top notch, and the food is nearly as good as the original.

Their oysters Rockefeller is my favorite dish of anywhere. I wont say the BR location is just as good, its close, but not the same IMO.

Crab Maison
Oysters Rock
Turtle Soup
Duck Crepes

All of those items are wonderful.

Oh and the noise issue is no more.

This. I had a much better experience 2 months ago than I did when it first opened. Go figure right? Give a place time to work the kinks out and you end up with a solid restaurant.

Yes, they were fixing that issue and you would have noticed the noise even without a packed house. The first time I went, the waitress had to lean in and tell us the specials. I have no hearing problems, but at a 4 top, I had to get her to come around to me and tell me again because there was no way to hear her.

When it's not hot, the patio is a neat place to eat. The bar area is also not as loud and has some tables. You can eat in there and it overlooks the patio.
