So far I am only in the first book. The tv show has changed some things. Some things happen in different order. For instance. The heart in the jar did not belong to his wife.

I'm on the third book, it's pretty good, but the second was awesome.

Finally watched the season finale. Awesome first season, can't wait for season 2.

I thought it was funny with Gus and the Vampire Killing Vampire. Gus attacked him twice and when that didn't work he tried the "ole look away and haul arse" move. I think Gus may actually have the best role next season.

According to DirecTv captioning Setrakian said "We're lost" upon finding out sunlight doesn't kill the master. I guess they will have find a different way to kill him. Both he and Eph should have rushed outside the window and stabbed him until he was dead instead of standing there watching. Wouldn't be a 2nd season if they had though.

It was weird the way Eichhorst/goth rocker guy and the other vamps left in rewind after the master jumped through the window.

My favorite characters so far are Vasiliy Fet, Gus, Abraham Setrakian, and Eichhorst. I don't know why but I just can't dislike Eichhorst. Hell, I felt sorry for him when they shot him in the leg at the subway station and were showing his difficult trip back home. I guess it may be because overall considering the circumstances he did treat Setrakian pretty decently at the WW2 Jewish extermination camp.

Does not compute?

Besides that, how was the play Ms. Lincoln?

I did find myself missing the show Sunday. I am pumped for season 2.

What do you mean?

Eichhorst could have been a hell of a lot worse towards Setrakian than he was. He used to go and shoot the shite with him. Let him drink with him that one time he was smashed. I imagine in real life the people in charge at a POW camp were pretty horrible people.

Setrakian just got to hang out indoors and carve wood all day. Looked like he got enough to eat since he wasn't skin and bones - hell for being in a German detention camp he pretty much had it made all because of Eichhorst.
