Metairie: Man allegedly kills wife, takes kids

Pedro Alberto Monterroso-Navas is wanted after a woman was found beaten to death in a bathroom in the 400 block of Durand Street at 3:35 a.m., according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Two children, ages 5 and 8, knocked on their neighbor’s door to alert them something was wrong with their mother.
Shortly afterward, deputies responded and found a Hispanic woman lying in the bathroom tub suffering from blunt force trauma to the head.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Monterroso-Navas is suspected of leaving the home with Jessica Nicolle Monterroso, 12, Yojan Manuel Monterroso-Flores, 4, and Jafet Abigaitl Monterroso-Monroy, 2, according to Louisiana state police.
