Freddy Adu's trial with AZ Alkmaar over within a week. New manager Marco van Basten not sufficiently impressed to sign him, reports @VI_nl.

Van Basten is a classic case of legendary player-cum-mediocre manager.

Bob Bradley gave Freddy a run at Staebek and didn't offer him either.

His best bet right now is probably NASL/USL.

No chance his huge ego lets him do that.

Adu has got to be asking for way too much money.

I can give him some of my campus dining money when our intramural indoor season starts this fall.

I think he'll take what he can get. An NASL would probably pay a decent amount of money for the draw

If he really wanted to play soccer, regardless of tier, he wouldn't be out of contract since December.

No shock seeing as he didn't stick in MLS or Norway.
