With the business that's been done, I wouldn't be surprised if we got a decent fee for Cech that COULD be used to add another striker. However, I think what we've got currently is what we'll end up with.

I love Petr Cech but I would hate to see him just sitting on our bench. He's still good and deserves to play.

Money is no concern... The Luiz and Lukaku transfers easily cover any additional signing we would want to make unless it is Cavani.

Yea we have spent virtually zero dollars this window. I don't see why we don't bring in another big signing?

As for Cech, I agree, I wish he was still our #1 but if he's not going to be I don't want him wasting on our bench. As long as it's not to one of our rivals or a team I hate I hope he gets a shot to continue his career at a high level.

Definitely need to shop Cech around, he's too good to be sitting on the bench.

I don't have any issue with Cech going to PSG. Let him compete at the highest level for a top club that we won't face other than the Champions League.

What would we expect his price tag to be? £10 million?

Let Cech be mind the net in the FA Cup, Cap One Cup, and (maybe due to experience) most of the matches in the Champions League. He is a top flight keeper. If we can keep both, and keep them satisfied, life is good. It is a luxury few teams have. It would give him quite a few games and many would be important. However, the BPL title seems to be priority #1 for Roman for some reason. If Cech were to sit on the bench most of the season, that would be pretty shitty. If so, a loan would work I would think.

He's too good for that.

If we think Courtois is better he has to play in our biggest matches.

It's unlikely he would be able to play to his usual standard if he's sitting on the bench for weeks at a time.

Sure but I doubt one of the best keepers in the world is going to be satisfied playing Capital One cup matches.

Why would we loan him with a guy 10 years younger taking his place? His value decreases with every window. If he isn't going to be the guy we need to sell him while we can for the most we can.

Cech needs to play. He is a top 5 keeper in the world. Lynx, is correct.. PSG will pay above the price. Jose needs to make that deal.

I will gladly take him. He offers something different than JT/Cahill. He's more dynamic. JT is getting old. Ivanovic hasn't been playing centrally much the last two seasons. Zouma isn't exactly the finished product yet. I will welcome any quality player we can get our hands on to increase depth.

The only thing I really agree with is that JT is getting old but right now, or at least last season, he proved he still has it.

If we are going to spend big on a CB I would much rather a young one (Varane) for the future not a guy who is going to give us a couple of good years before he's old himself.

Oscar, Ivanovic and Courteois were excellent. Hazard was absent the first 1/3 of the match but he finally started playing well.

I'm loving this team the more I get to see them gel together.

When they're clicking and they're on...they're fricking on. The first half was slow, but once the ball gets rolling, they're going to be damn near impossible to stop.

Trying to take everything with a grain of salt though, since it's only been Burnley and Leicester.

I'm not a huge BPL fan but I watch it a bit since it is the easiest to watch in the States. I think the fixtures between Chelsea and Man City are going to be some of the most wonderful fixtures in all of Europe's domestic leagues.
