That wouldn't do anything. The violence rampant on Chicago's streets is a symptom, not the cause.

Guns have gotten too expensive and the poor have been priced out of ownership and therefore, their self defense capability.
We obviously need the Affordable Gun Act whereby every citizen will be required to buy a gun and those who can't afford it will be subsidized.

If someone commits and act of violence against someone, the tool they use is a secondary concern. Sure, guns make carrying out the act of violence easier, but it is not the reason the act was carried out.
No one carries out an act of violence that would have not occurred to them had they not been carrying a gun.
Therefore, the core problem can never be the gun.
Liberals can't admit that though. Therefore, we all have to take part in the bullshite dance. God forbid the core issues that cause the problems ever be actually addressed.
