A little surprised he mentioned Lee Jenkins at all.

In Lafayette on 1420, they interrupted a commercial break about 30minutes after the story was up on SI.com to say "We have breaking news, according to KPLC in Lake Charles, LeBron James has decided to sign with Cleveland."

I got a good laugh out of it.

It's not really a source when the LeBron James letter was already published

He had to throw in the "source confirms" at the end. He can't help himself

how pissed must ESPN be that their golden boy broke the news by writing a column for SI?

His source "confirned" a story that was on SI and LeBron's instagram account.

This. He must be hated around NBA circles because he never mentions the people that actually break 99% of the stories he never gets. You will see the rest of the guys like Woj and Stein mention people on twitter that actually broke the story.

Maybe his source is a buddy with a subscription to SI.

It is pretty hilarious that all of the ESPN people got scooped. Kudos to LBJ for throwing a bone to the underdog writer.

Does Broussard get no credit for saying 85% to the Cavaliers on Tuesday?

Yeah, if he said that, that counts big for him, "sources" jokes aside.

I'm pretty sure he said 90% last week and said less than 85% yesterday, so no credit. He simply changes what he says to draw a reaction and quotes his "sources" AKA what thought popped in his mind when he woke up that morning or what he saw on twitter
