The latest permutation of this strategy is a staple many of us won’t live without: beer and wine. Family Dollar has been experimenting with selling alcohol at about 200 stores this summer, and the results have been strong enough for nationwide expansion of beer and wine sales.

I don't know if they had it back then, but I think I have seen liquor with their label on it, it's been years since I've been in a K&B though

We went into a Dollar General in Missouri last month where they were selling beer & wine, something I don't think they have here in Baton Rouge.

The Dollar General stores in Alabama have sold beer and wine for as long as I can remember. It's just a mini walmart without having to walk ten miles to get what you need. What's wrong with that?
