I agree, he wasn't terrible...
We're just are lacking up top right now... Sterling should have put that one away and that was the game.. He's not a match winner quite yet, but he's young...

I really hope we beat Basel. We still owe them for 02. Sadly this season feels a lot like 02. Except worse.

Sterling should have put it away, you are right. I think his mind turns to a funnel when he sees the goal. Strains out all the creative ideas and leaves the single most expected outcome. Haha.

I want to smack Rodgers. Can't see why Lallana is not playing. £25m for a bench player? He's looked like the best attacking midfielder on form lately.

I agree that you should have lallana (or Markovic) on the right hand side of the 3 behind lambert... Drop Allen..

Sadly though, the first half really shows why BR seems forced into playing Gerrard so much.. A complete lack of fluency. Couldn't put anything together from the back moving forward.

Not like we were rubbing teams off the pitch before anyway. There's some questionable lineup decisions but we're not playin any worse than we have, and at least we're defending well. We look organized, well positioned, and don't look like we're falling all over ourselves trying to make a last second tackle or block. For now, I'm happy with that. Baby steps
