I'm not that type of person, but frick you Brendan.

You blew it with those subs. I hate myself for saying it, but he was clearly trying to give Stevie a sending off giving him the full time. Outside of his one pass to Moreno, he was probably the most absent player on the pitch. Then he's subbing on everyone but Lallana. I've got no problem with the new formation, but we should've switched to a 4-3-3 after the second sub bringing Balotelli on, or God forbid, bring on one of our attacking players with possibly the best form on the team at the moment.

I really shouldn't be mad at such a shite cup, but two fricking matches where we had plenty of chances and couldn't finish. Shows all you need to know about the difference between the two sides.

I guess we see things a little different..

I was a bit surprised Stevie went the whole 120... I think subbing off Sakho kinda fricked us with a sub too.. was he hurt or was it for that pass?

Brendan is an idiot like Arsene in this case. Come the frick on man. Be more pragmatic. frick.

Seeing reports that we may be looking to buy Danny Ings before the window shuts (he's out of contract in summer) and loan him back to Burnley for the remainder of the season...

Im seeing stuff saying you want him now. Even if he is out of contract b/c of his age you have to pay what ever that tax is for under 23 players. I think he ends up at Spurs if he goes anywhere.

Buying him just to loan him to Burnley for the remainder of the season just makes zero sense to me.

Yeah, I'd like him now if we can... Just hearing Burnley wants him for the remainder of the season to help them stay up, so this is a way to get him... Last night I was reading it'd cost about £4mm, which isn't bad...

That may just be to get them to do the deal now instead of waiting to have to try and beat out another team.

A very "meh" signing for me, but £4m isn't bad at all. Still questionable as far as his role and how he would fit into the team for me though.

True, I think he should go to spain honestly.

Heard that about Lambert

but sounds like this buy and loan nonsense is already being shot down

quote:

In a statement, Burnley chief executive Lee Hoos said: 'This type of move would violate Premier League rule V7 regarding transfers so simply cannot happen.'

Premier League rule V7.1 states that: 'A Temporary Transfer to a Club may not take place in the Transfer Window in which the Transferor Club acquired the Player's registration.'

Ings is out of contract at the end of the season and, although they would be due compensation if he were to leave on a free, that figure would be vastly reduced. As a guide, Blackpool were recently awarded little over £2million for Tom Ince, who moved to Hull City, and had previously rejected far larger bids.

I have no issue signing Ings for ~£4mm (and still don't have a problem with Lambert for what we paid)... I didn't realize he was only 22.. for some reason thought he was in the 26-27 range.. That said, I'm okay if we miss out on him too..

If he did come in, I'd imagine our striker line up next season to be, Studge, Ings, Origi and Balo (possibly swapping him out with someone else, I still like him though)... I still think Borini and Lambert will be gone.. I'd be ok with that as long as it allows us to concentrate on some bigger needs..

If we get champions league, then maybe a higher profile striker..

Also, if Daniel suffers another major injury setback, priorities would change and I think we'd need to target a main striker...

Also, I wonder if 3 at the back is something long term, given our success with it this season... Ive always like that formation, whether its a 3-4-3 or 3-4-1-2 or a 3-5-2... But I still think you have to have the players to be tactically flexible

Looks like Sheyi Ojo will be loaned to Wigan for the rest of the year. Very interested to see how he does

That's fantastic. I hope he does real well. I'd love for him to step into the first team after a solid loan spell

I think they were waiting for his 18th birthday but he was a man among boys even as a 17 year old in U-21s.

He needs regular game time on a level where he can't just rely on his physical gifts

I have a cruel sense of humor. I blame it on trying to set myself up for disappointment so if he does get hurt I won't be nearly as heart broken...

Few things piss me off more than when players put their hand up, stop playing, and look at the ref.
