Wear comfortable shoes and cool clothing. You're basically on a huge concrete slab that slopes down towards the stage. Picture a loading dock. It has a metal roof that traps heat and it gets very steamy under there in the summer. I saw Gov't Mule there a few summers ago and it was the hottest I've ever been.

The sides are open, so there is a little breeze at least.

Haven't been to a show there but went there for a wedding. The grounds and area is really cool. All industrial.

Place is haunted. Plenty people died there years ago. I think they used to make steel there. That ghost adventures show did an episode there

Sloss is a great venue. Been seeing shows there since late '80's. I'll be there Tuesday week as well, but the show you're referring to was probably the hottest I've ever been. Jackie Green opened. Was 102 during the day prior to show.

I was gonna say it was a very hot day, but then I've seen other shows where it wasn't as hot during the say and it was pretty hot under he shed. Wilco a couple of years ago comes to mind. Mid May and the high was only mid 80's during the day, but it still got pretty warm in there during the show. Not uncomfortable like Gov't Mule, but warm.

No doubt the metal all around added to the heat. Even with all those fans on him, WH was sweating his arse off. Busted out some wrist bands to help keep sweat off hands. Was dangerously hot.
