This is a federal case. He'll do eight--at least.

Federal sentencing typically requires that you serve 80% of your sentence (unless pardoned or commuted).

Just heard that he got a big break because 10 years and under entitles him to serve out the sentence at a "camp"... aka: Club Fed/Edwin Edwards. Many smiling faces in the Nagin family. These things are getting so predictable!! Prosecutors are fuming!!

Has to serve a minimum of 8.5 years and pay the IRS $84,000 in restitution.
No fines. He got off pretty easy IMO
