Can Tanaka win Rookie of the Year and Cy Young this year?

Rookie of the Year is almost a given based on accepted definition of a rookie. Cy Young is in sight.

He could I guess but I think he would finish second to Felix right now in CY voting. I think Sale ends up with better numbers as well by years end.

Yes. Right now I would put him behind Felix but not by much. He can definitely win it though and wouldn't surprise anyone if he did

CY and MVP has only happened 8 times.

Didn't this thread include the MVP a month ago? And getting the ROY over Abreu is far from a given.

He's ROY but Cy Young is too early and MVP is too early. I wouldn't be surprised if Miguel Cabrera puts up some big numbers in the second half.
