How many in your family or in laws are truly mentally disturbed?

I've got a sister in law that is off the charts whacko! She is married with kids. I'd say around late forties. WILD mood swings is only the beginning. She is also constantly pissed at someone. I could go on but I won't.

I have a sister in law, not for long, that has serious mental issues. Her son does also. One day, I wouldn't be surprised if he was involved in some kind of violence at school. He sees Dr.'s and is on meds.

Sounds like my ex wife. And I'll add one more tidbit: she divorced me to marry my step sisters son, whom she met at my step dad's deathbed. So now my ex is my niece and my kids are also my cousins. And the stupid bitch actually believes we're supposed to be friends now.

Does that count as disturbed?

My father's side (the New Orleans side). The entire side of that part of my relatives has some kind of mental illness.

It's alright, I knew it was coming. I almost did an nb4 joke about it but figured I'd let you guys have your fun instead.

Yeah, she acts like it's no big deal. I even pulled a hypothetical on her and asked if she'd be ok with me hooking up with one of her cousins or sisters. Her answer was "First of all, if the two of you were happy then that's all that matters, I wouldn't care. And second, I know you'd never do that cause you know how trashy they are." I told her "Guess what? They're not the only trashy girls in your family anymore."

My sister is a hoarder. But not really, because all her shite is brand new bought from QVC and still in boxes.according to her reasoning.

Same here, I hate the bitch. Our life is so much better now that we have nothing to do with her.

I've got an family member who's the closest thing I've ever seen to a psychopath in real life. I truly think he does not care one single bit for any other human life but his own. I've never met someone so selfish and basically evil. If he doesn't get his way he'll threaten suicide. He's been institutionalized for it in the past. I don't really consider him family and haven't talked to him in probably 10 years, but by definition we are related.

One cousin who went off the deep end, she's been in and out of mental facilities. There was a stint where she apparently got well and got married.

The marriage lasted one week, and went crazy again.

My Mother In Law is certainly on another level, though I am not sure if she is truly mentally disturbed.

My mother is diagnosed Schizo-Effective for 35 years. Horrible thing to deal with as a family member, and I couldn't imagine living my life with that sickness.

Most of them. They used to make me think that I was the black sheep until I finally realized that I am the only normal one.

Unbelieveably awesome response Merck...

I'm regards to the "I wouldn't care" comment that's total bullshite, of course she would flip her shite if it were the other way around, but regardless at least it seems like you're taking it as well as possible and being the bigger person. Sorry you're having to deal worth what sounds like an insane situation.

How old are the kids? And how are they handling it if you don't mind sharing
