I have neighbors 2 houses down that have a nice paved driveway. Instead of using it and the garage to park in, they constantly have 2 or 3 vehicles parked all over the yard. I didn't think to much of it until I heard someone mention it. The grass always looks like shite too. It looks like they are parking in the shade (under trees), however the cars seem fairly new and should have AC.

Depends on how big your yard is.

i usually roll my eyes as these OT threads about what is or isn't trashy, but yeah if you're parking your car in the yard that's a problem

ETA: there is a driveway big enough for 4 cars and a 2 car garage. Empty

As much as I despise HOA's, this is why they exist. No yard parkers in my hood.

I'm guessing you live in a neighborhood that doesn't have a HOA.

Parking on lawns and loose surfaces like gravel is indeed indicative of trashiness. Sleeveless shirts are likely driving the cars.

Its like the door by the driveway isn't the one they use so they just park by the other door, which means parking all in the yard. Basically saving themselves a few steps.

So they will be stuck parked on the lawn, and further lengthen the time doing their trashy business?

Don't know what city you live in, but I used to have neighbors in Kenner that parked on the lawn like that and a Kenner code inspector put a notice on their cars that if they didn't stop doing it he would issue each car a fine.

I'm going to forge a note that says that. Thanks for the idea.
