Pediatricians quit seeing children at 18.

Some hospitals will continue to see adults in the pediatrics department when they have congenital, fatal diseases, such as cystic fibrosis.

Will a PCP generally see a patient younger than 18?

As old as possible. It has been my experience that my pediatrician is far more intelligent than any primary care dr in the area.

A PCP will see patients younger than 18, but you may be better served going to a family medicine doc or pediatrician...

You're not nearly as funny as you think you are. And, you're trying way too hard.

I bet if you had kids you'd have a better sense of humor.

Your flat arse doesn't look nearly as good as you think it does. And, you're trying way too hard.

I bet if you didn't have kids you'd have a better arse.

So what's your excuse for your horrible sense of humor?

Your posts aren't really that funny.

That is actually fairly accurate in many cases. I'd say it depends on a case by case basis. There are many adult diseases that a pediatrician is unfamiliar with and many ped issues the average FP is unfamiliar with. I can't say there is a best age, but I know many peds are loath to have to do pelvic exams or sexual histories on their pt's and this is unfortunately a very important part of the total care of the pt's. So, it really depends on the doc's and your available options.

Not if it's a woman pediatrician

They really shouldn't allow women to practice medicine
