The internet is a crazy place. Would you/have you ever used kickstarter? looks like a cool idea. I may back this guy for some good karma

That website seems like a sophisticated way to be a deadbeat.

Kickstarter is all or nothing. So I guess its better to aim low and go over your goal. Instead of not reaching it and getting nothing.

The $500 is for new camera equipment, not the honeymoon.

There's actually already a website for that specific thing. I know because my cheap arse friends are doing it.

Honey Fund

ETA: I didn't donate.

A girl I know set up a registry where people invited to her wedding could go online and give money towards their honeymoon. I think that's tacky as frick.

ETA: wontonwrap I think that's what this girl used too.

super tacky. I wouldn't have the balls to ask my friends for money for a trip that I don't need. I would just save my money and take the honeymoon later or something.

And I have now found something more tacky than the money dance.

People are coming to your wedding along with bringing them a gift and you have the nerve to ask for more money via dance, kick starter, etc.

I wouldn't even show up to that shite.

I will say this: it's NOT tacky if you are taking honey moon donations in lieu of registering for gifts. But registering for gifts and then asking for honey moon cash, on top of that, is trashy as hell.

The prizes for supporters is pathetically bad if anyone is idiotic enough to support this guy, they deserve to lose their money. Trashy af.

Why couldn't this guy just start a honeymoon registry? There are a ton of them out there now.
