I was wanting to do some sort of steak on a baggette app for the family this weekend. Anyone have any kind of recipe/method or type of bread they use?

I feel like sliced med-rare steak on crostini with bleu cheese spread would be good.
Or a sauteed mushroom and steak crostini.

Steak atop bleu cheese spread topped with pesto and fresh Parm.

Use a baguette cut on the diagonal. I like to brush them with a nice olive oil and grill them on both sides.
You can top with all sorts of different things.
Chimichurri works well.
Roast some tomatoes with some garlic and herbs, s&p and then you can rough chop chunky or puree. You can do that only or add a little blue cheese crumbles.
A little arugula on the bottom or top is a nice flavor to add with a garlic herbed aioli.
Really depends on the flavors you like.
