Season ticket transfer policy. Very limited.

Just read it again. It clearly says that the only cases where a season ticket can be transferred upon the death of the holder are:

1. To surviving spouse
2. If no surviving spouse to a child
3. If no surviving child to a grandchild.

That pretty much sums it up if I understand it correctly.

So forget about sibling to sibling, much less the obscure family member to family member, even if it uncle to nephew, etc.

Every 5 years or so they allow "one time account changes" with notarized statements to siblings, etc.

if you have a disability that prevents you from going to games, you can transfer to all those groups as well. my grandfather can no longer physically walk very well at all, has handicap plates, etc. He transferred all of his tickets to my mother a couple of years ago.

I don't know Golfer. My sister has four season tickets. My wife and I have sat with her husband for the past 10 years and we haven't been able to transfer them. Maybe that is becuase they are in her husband's name. That would be brother in law to brother in law. Of course, it may also be that we missed our opportunity and didn't know it.

Think about the reasoning on that one for a second. The ticket office doesn't want to get involved in family drama like "My 2nd cousin Jim Bob Boudreaux wants dese two tickets...My brother in law Goose wants dem three tickets. My dead aunt Dorine said I could have hers." Then your 3rd cousin Ashy Larry calls up the ticket office and asks why the tickets were transferred and complains.

They haven't had one of those in a long time.

Damn, I've been planning to buy 2 from my uncle now that I have my career started. Is that even an option?

I still buy my season tickets from my Uncle; it doesn't say you can't buy them. We just pay him upfront and when the tickets come in he gives them to us.

Now, when he dies, that's a long time off but I'm hoping either things change or his son would continue to sell them to me (I'm pretty close with my cousins who don't enjoy going to the games).

We both thought they could be transferred into my name and I would begin paying TAF fees, tradition fees, etc. Guess not. I'm fine with the other way, just would be nice to have them in name. My have to transfer them into my fiances name this season or next.

Yeah I don't think they did that in a while.

I checked it out. The last time they did this was pre TAF.

I get the family argument angle. What I don't get is what if an uncle wants to transfers them before his death.

I use to work with Goose. He's a big Saint's fan anyway.

There was that one time about 14 years ago when the completed the new east upper they allowed open transfers. That's how I have my tickets.
