Probably by the time he's 18. Don't think that's any realistic worry though as of now

would he qualify to play for spain?

I'd imagine so with Costa playing for Spain. I read recently that Spain tried to get Messi to play for them but he wanted to play for Argentina. Hopefully he is visiting the states often enough to still feel American. I think we've got him into a couple youth camps so that's pretty good.

I think it will help that the US should be much better by 2022 (if things keep going the way they are). We won't be Spain, but Spain probably won't be 2009-2012 Spain, either.

If we're adding 20 year olds, might as well add Yedlin.

Yeah I added Stanko because he signed a pro contract recently and I had Marc Pelosi listed. I can add Yedlin

The 2018 WC squad prediction thread has a ton of young guys listed. I had to look up a bunch of guys that I had never heard of...

What are some other good places on the interwebs to keep up with some of these guys?

Kai Koreniuk at Vitesse
Recently got a call up to the Dutch U-16 team, but he's from Florida. Says USSF hasn't contacted him yet.

gboly ariyibi was just released by leeds, but he is a young winger who came thru southampton's academy and may want to keep tabs on.

Was he the short winger that played in the U-18 (?) WC a year or so ago? If so I was impressed with him

Yup, that's him. Haven't heard much of him since then but he really impressed me.

Can players switch back and forth between national teams?

I know they can for the junior teams (if that's what they are called? - U16, U17, U18, etc), but once they play for the top team, are they allowed to switch?

Have any ages or clubs for those teams?
