A poster on PR claims he heard the Wolves offered KMart for Gordon. I actually think it could make sense. On the one hand you have to do something if you hope to keep Love, and on the other hand if you lose Love, Gordon comes off the books earlier than Martin if you have to rebuild. 2 years earlier if he declines his player option.

This time, I got a real bonafide nugget I couldn't wait to share from someone on the basketball side. And since I don't want to recreate the RekeHavoc chaos and don't have time to reply to everyone's messages, I'm just going to spill the beans.

Minnesota has offered Kevin Martin for Eric Gordon.

That's all I got. Not sure what we told Minnesota, not sure if it's still on the table, and not sure when this offer was made.

as some have said on the PR forum... that deal may not work money-wise just straight up

the most approved addition that would seem to make the money work is K-Mart & Budinger for EG

and let's remember Dell said something about a deal during his post draft presser... seemingly outside of the Asik and Russ Smith/PJax trades

This brings back visions of the ghost CP3/Lakers trade and "No K Mart, No Care"

The fact that I actually had to stare at those two contracts for a few minutes to decide if I would turn down a Gordon deal tells me it might be fair.

Im still not sure. Martin on the books and declining as a player, into 2017, is scary. But if it came down to a deal like this, or trading Anderson, I'd do the deal. I still feel like it wouldn't get to that point though. We'd just dump Rivers.

This feels like another trade the media would jump all over the Pelicans for.

I think another team would need to be involved to take on more salary from the Wolves.

And this seems doubtful.

Non-guaranteed contracts

How could this fit as a 3-way trade with the Asik deal?

They would be idiots(nothing new though)

I'd be fine with him being the sixth/seventh man off the bench and hitting 3s(he still does that very well) and provide spacing.

6.5 a year for him isn't really that bad and he wouldn't hard to move if we had to.

I think it would be too good to be true for the Pels. His deal is only 1 year longer than Gordon's and he's making half as much. He would be great coming off of the bench, and as a player on the downside of his career I doubt he'd care as long as the Pels would be winning. I'd take it every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Kmart and Mbah a Moute for EGKnee is more than fine with me. Especially if we can flip Ryno for a good SF. Kmart would fill Ryno's role well.

I think versus certain teams, Kmart could play the 3 on offense and guard the 2 on Defense, and switch with Reke on each end.
