I'd go Bradley, Dempsey, Jones, Johnson, Beasley.

Here is where those "Would Donovan make a difference on this team" threads come into play.

Think what you want of him, he is our best PK taker in the pool.

I don't care how bad he's looked, he's taking one.

Aron Johannsson takes one if he's on the field. Wondolowski would probably take one too. Both of them take spot kicks for their respective clubs.

If these guys are on the field...

Dempsey, Bradley, Johnson, Jones, Cameron

JK on Cameron

Altidore or Beasley (I trust a 4 time WC vet to close it out)

Dempsey is shooting first, Klinsmann might have Bradley close it out as the 5th shooter

are the penalty kickers limited to the people that were in the game or can it be anyone on the bench too?

You have to be on the field at the final whistle in order to be eligible for a penalty.

Dempsey, Bradley, Fabian, Jones, and someone else - Johansson, Wondo or Green.

I don't care for Beasley, Besler or any other defender taking PK's.

Yeah...I want a 19 y/o who has never stepped foot on the field in such a high pressure situation over a guy that has played in 4 WC and is the American who has gone the furthest in the Champions League

I see why you'd say that and it sounds great on paper but I haven't seen Beasley take a shot, make a shot or create an opportunity for a shot during this WC.

ETA - agree with poster above me..... Bedoya or Zusi over Beasley as well... and probably before Green too.

Beasley hasn't always been a defender..guy was a pretty prolific winger. You can't have him and Johnson pushing all the way up the field. Someone has to stay back, and Johnson is far more dangerous going forward. Give me the guy who has been in big moments, ala Landon, over guys like Bedoya, Zusi, wondo, and Aron.

Jones has been in the champions league, I'm not worried about the chest on that guy.
