I need some help trying to find a modular cabin/ cottage type building for a weekend camp/ lake house.

Back story is that the wife inherited a lake lot on an old development in rural Mississippi (Silver Run Lakes). We are starting to get active on clearing the lot, bringing utilities to it, etc in preparation of a nice little family weekend getaway camp. The development never really took off and homes there have been for sale for years, we are told. The fishing is supposed to be very good on the lake, so I'm interested in this aspect of it. I'm not spending an assload of money for a permanent structure that we can't sell years from now if we relocate, have other interests, etc.

The wife is awfully high maintenance and won't entertain the idea of a trailer house in any respect. I've fought this battle and it is not even worth discussing anymore. We are looking at a modular cabin/ cottage type of building to be built out with the space we want. Any ideas here are greatly appreciated.

Might want to add, Cajun Swap Shop on facebook. They list stuff all the time, sometimes more than you might want but plenty of options pop up...

Here is one listed...

I'm not aware of any real restrictions yet. I can't see there being any with the looks of some of the places there.

Ok so 2 of those wick found stuck together.

You should get a connex delivered there first for storage, then bring her up and say this is it baby! After she flips out, tell her the real one starts next week.

dammmmet, too bad you can't just buy balls's trailer house, you wouldn't even have to paint the pretty wall paper walls.

We have been thinking about selling our cabin that was built in 2008-2009. It would need to be moved. It's 20x36 with 2br/2ba and a loft. It's all custom pine, cedar, and poplar on the inside with custom cypress cabinets. It has a porch across the front and a metal roof. Central AC/heat as well.its 15 miles west of McComb .we just started talking about selling it and haven't decided on a number yet.

Yes it is. Not much else up there, but a nice place for relaxing and whatnot.

I could be interested. I'm not ready to move anything in the next week, as I need a few months to clear the lot, get utilities, etc.

Email me at 4lsu2td@gmail.com if and when you are ready.
