He has not been bad at all. He's playing a more difficult position this time around, it's as simple as that.

I would make a "that's because he is a machine....a turnover machine" joke here, but that would be inappropriate.

He's been a beast when it comes to effort and work rate.

Makes you wonder what would've happened if he'd played cleaner games so far.

The Jozy injury really jacked everything up. Forced Bradley to play further forward to help Clint. He's not a natural attacking mid. He's at his best dictating the game from further back and making occasional runs forward.

He is the definition of a box to box player. And does it in a workman's way.

His mistakes and turnovers and being put under the microscope due to the spot we are playing him at and how good he has played these last few years. I agree that he is struggling. But its also the WC and our weakest position is the 1 he plays. Hes the only CAM that we have out there and defenses knows that. He never has any space to make a run or a play. And thats how I would defend us as well. Without Bradley, we arent going to be getting the ball forward by the middle of the field. They are cutting the head off the snake, so to speak and taking Bradley out of the equation for us and forcing other players to be creative and beat them. Thankfully, other players have stepped up for us like Fab, Bedoya, JJ, DMB, and Yedlin when hes on.

But the things that he has done well are not talked about at all. Hes playing fine D and making it difficult for the other teams midfield.

I didn't realize how fast he was. Also, Bedoya is surprisingly fast apparently.

His work has been great. He's hit a few great passes and had some big break ups.

A few bad touches. All in all, solid. He's not a No. 10 and it shows, but he is still crucial to our team.

I mean, yeah, but not top 10 at the WC fast. Also their speed isn't really the main talking point for either of those guys like it is for a guy like Yedlin.

Fabian has been FLYING. He was embarrassing the Portugal back line in terms of speed.
