Isn't each pear supposed to be sitting on top of an iceberg lettuce leaf?

What sort of half-assed shite is this?

My mom made this when I was a kid -- sometimes with pear, sometimes with canned pineapple ring. It's a thing. Better than one would think. Now my mother-in-law was insane and would use banana as the fruit. WTF??

I swear, I thought I dreamed this up. One of my earliest memories was at my Great Aunt's house, and she would make this.

I told my wife about it a couple years ago, and she looked at me like I was crazy. Once I told her, I even thought I was bat shite crazy, but knew it had to be true because no one in their right mind would think of making this concoction out of the blue.

Thanks for reaffirming that I'm not batshit crazy

My mother-in-law gave me this recipe. It didn't call for iceberg lettuce. They're from Lake Charles and maybe this is their version.

Hell yea. Forgot about the lettuce. We may not have had cherry, but we always had the lettuce leaf..

Iceberg lettuce, pineapple, cheese, and mayo. Never seen it with cherry before.

I just know that this is an old school thing, so it was probably opium, and lots of it
