The whole smart watch thing is kind of lame, imo.

So don't buy one ?

I love the idea of being able to read a text, email, or see who is calling with a glance at my wrist instead of fumbling for my phone.

plus the built in HR, sleep monitoring and step counter functionality aka fitbit and jawbone and garmin are integrated better into an android OS than a proprietary device.

those devices..love them or hate them...are really taking off. android is going to basically cut their legs out from under them.

oh and with today's new samsung watch already available running android wear coming to the play store this afternoon, they've beaten apple to the punch on the smartwatch v2. (v1 was that horrible samsung and fairly novel pebble)

This is the 1st "Smart Watch" I've seen that got my attention - THIS, I wouldn't mind owning.

I saw all the designs in the competition. This looked the best and had the most function. It will work very well with my moto x+1.

Same here - finally a smart watch that is visually attractive and not super bulky. The 20 second pizza order entirely from the watch demo was pretty impressive too.
