We've had so much going on in the last 2 months since we moved that I didn't even notice Suddenlink stopped automatically debiting the $44 monthly charge. All this time, my internet has worked fine. They came out and turned my service on and even came another time for a service issue. I noticed that the internet is a bit slow so I logged into Suddenlink to see if I could upgrade my speed and realized we haven't paid since April.

I guess I have to call and ask them if I can pay

My security system never billed me once at my old house. I know it worked because every time I forgot to turn the damn thing off before letting the dog out, it would go off, and they would still call the house to make me give them password.

We never never had internet in college because my roommate quit paying and we realized they never shut off the cable. The internet quit working, but we never wanted to call to get it fixed in case they would find out about the free cable.

I came into the same situation. We lived in a duplex and the cable was never split correctly from the neighbor's line. We had free cable and paid for DSL from AT&T as not to alert the cable company about our free cable. DSL sucked bad for the couple of years I had it, although it certainly made up for not footing the cable bill.
