I stayed in calanova a while. It was very quiet and much nicer than the other side of the bay.

I had friends at arenal beach opposite Calanova and someone got mugged or stuff stolen off their bikes/cars daily. I wouldn't really go over there.

Downtown Palma - like the old town is pretty cool. Lots of old buildings and churches and a castle and stuff. They also have some sweet boats in the marinas if you can go ride around.

I didn't go out but was told the party scene was out of control.

I had a good time and want to go back one day.

Been to Palma, but it was 9 years ago, so pardon the vagueness. Like previous poster has said, Palma's town center and old church are beautiful and weren't crowded the June days we went. Beach is large and more populated, and the nightlife scene is wild. The island isn't that big, so everything is contained

The Mediterranean is pretty much the coolest body of water ever.

Its just beautiful summer weather, no rain, and a bunch of party islands with crystal blue water.

They got it made there.
