is there a criteria that is accepted in conventional wisdom? The reason I ask is I indirectly came across this page:
First class models in Houston, TX Facebook page

Now there is no shortage of beautiful women here in Houston. Here is a franchised modeling agency and some of these girls are flat out ugly. I realize they have the fake tits, the spray on tan, the caked on makeup that makes them look worse than they really are. maybe? but then I looked at this:

First class models web page

and Holy crap WTF is going on here?

many more on the link.

Maybe this is a front for an escort service? what is a reasonable definition for a "model?"

Whatever the definition is, it doesn't include this girl:

3 isn't bad

any half way decent looking woman can get on with most modeling places...i think they pay the agency up front so as an agency its probably just an opportunity to make money...even though they never get hired.

they hold these "casting calls" in hotel lobbies, these girls pay money for these people to photograph them and get profiles.

I'd imagine 99% of them never get a call.

My sister did some modeling in Dallas, once or twice, I'd hardly call her a pro, though.

these places will "hire you" as a model. all you have to do is pay them for your professional pictures- for around 1000 bucks. but but but they wil get you a job modeling
