What worries me the most about Thursday

What worries me the most is not our opponent Germany, but our teams physical condition. We both saw how Italy and England looked the next game after playing in the Amazon and it wasn't pretty. Obviously we are in much better physical condition than both of those squads but that plus the day less rest just really worries me that we will have to make zero mistakes if we want to earn a result in this match.

Jurgen vs the Germans

Something special is gonna happen on that pitch Thursday. It's gonna be a lot closer than people think

Something tells me Jurgen is throwing the kitchen sink at his homeland.

I'm anticipating a highly dramatic game, most likely a draw

JK is a fitness psycho, it has been a point of emphasis ever since he got here. Under his leadership we are and will continue to be one of the fittest teams on the planet. Let's just hope it's enough for a point on Thursday.

our teams physical condition
if we ever Ever EVER expect to win the World Cup, our physical condition should already be at a level that would let us play 243 games in the Amazon...and still be ready for the next game

Any team in the world would be exhausted after playing in that stadium.

Thats b/c he is molding us into a euro model to have the type of fitness Germany and teams like them do.

What worries me most is the Portuguese mindset. They will know going into their game that they will need a big win and a result in our game to even have a chance to go through. If Ghana come out and score first, this would be a huge blow to Portugal. If the game is tight in the second half, Portugal will have little to play for and Ghana all to play for. A defeated Portuguese mindset could potentially lead to a Ghana win by a lopsided score line and If the US actually end up needing a result from that game, this is what worries me most.

I'm anticipating an incredibly boring game with neither team going for the win, that will end most likely in a draw.

I'm wondering if we'll see a 1982 West Germany/Austria situation. A draw, and we're both through no matter what happens in the other game.

I think that is exactly what we will see. We don't need to beat Germany to accomplish our goals, nor do they need to beat us. A draw suits both sides just fine. Fingers crossed, it should be gloriously boring and uneventful.

This - I have no faith in Portugal's fragile psyche.

What worries me the most is that Ghana is probably going to beat Portugal to a pulp
