How is Panama City compared to Destin?

We usually vacation in the Miramar Beach area of Destin every year but this year we decided to tag along with some friends of ours who are headed to Panama City at the end of July. We like the laid back atmosphere of Destin and have never been down the road to PCB. I've heard it's a bit trashier crowd than Destin. What can we expect?

It's definitely trashier. Like it's a night and day difference.

It's trashier. Both are overcrowded, Destin has better stuff.

It's far from laid back. It's not as bad late in summer but it is still made for the party crowd.

I havent been to Panama city since senior trip 12 years ago but Id definitely choose destin over PCB.

PCB is trying to clean up its act. It's gotten better but it's still trashy. Basically PCB is for teenagers, Destin is for adults and families

I like pensacola. Almost all bars and restaurants are within walking distance.

The arts scene and dining options in Destin is far superior to Panama City. I'll give Panama City the nightlife, but for culture, it's difficult to best the Destin strip malls and gimmicky food options. But then again, Panama City does have a Dave and Busters, so there's that.

I cover both for work. If youre bringing kids, I noticed that Panama had a lot more Putt Putt/go-cart places than destin...

30-A is upper class, Destin is middle class, Panama City is lower class.......in generality. Some for each class can be present at each location.
