Are you a baseball traditionalist?

I hate interleague baseball.

I hate the thought of bringing the DH to the NL.

I hate the arbitration rules that keep the best players in the minors too long so they avoid Super Two status.

I do, however, love sabermetrics .

I have no problem with interleague - it was nice when it didn't happen every other weekend though and they kept it to three or four series per season.

I agree. I enjoyed interleague when it was all together at one time for about three weeks before they moved Houston to the AL. It wasn't too bad at all and gave us opportunities to see teams you may not normally see at your home ballpark.

Hate inter league, hate the DH.

I do like how sabermetrics have forced people to look at the game in a new way.

Yet again, I don't care for replay being available for a ton of calls, but the strike zone needs to be opened up more.

Yep, but as long as an ump is consistent with it.

Nope the more change the better. Balls and strikes need to be called by a robot or something.

I'm so traditional that I'd like to see the regular season go back to 154 games. The addition of playoffs (which did not exist when I was a kid) has pushed the season too far into cold weather.

Not sure when you were a kid, but only one World Series since 1984 has ended before October 20. Only anomalous circumstances (1994 strike delaying 1995 season; 9/11; persisting 2009 Philadelphia rain) have pushed the series past October.

I was a kid in the early 50s. The World Series was over before Oct. 20.

I love interleague play and hate the DH. That said, I agree with the others who posted that I liked interleague play better when everyone was doing at the same time and not every weekend.

Even though I HATE the DH, I believe the National League should go to it full time because at EVERY OTHER LEVEL from little league to college, they have a DH.

I am also a fan of hit and runs and stolen bases...and when Dale Murphy hit 30 home runs and was considered a home run hitter.

Although I believe sabermetrics have made the game better, I fully agree with your last paragraph.

I enjoy watching baseball, but I can't stand "baseball people." The kind of people who are fans of the "unwritten" rules of baseball, the idea of "first ballot guys" and those who didn't want instant replay because it wasn't part of The Game.

Don't mind interleague.

Don't want the DH in the NL. I think pitchers should hit. The Dodgers have always been my favorite team. I remember that Don Drysdale was used as a pinch hitter pretty often. Plus, it forces managers to use a bit of strategy. Fister was great at the plate last night. His two sacrifice bunts resulted in runs for the Nats.

I am more of a traditionalist. As Crash Davis said, "I believe there ought to be a Constitutional Amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter."

I think the season is way too long. I can't stand when I see where the {insert team name} played the {insert team name} on a Tuesday afternoon for the 4826264947 time this season.

They should cut the season in half. Maybe I'm alone here but I get pumped for the season to start, then after a month or two, I completely quit paying attention until the playoffs start.

Too many old timers and traditionalists are killing the game, I think.
