I shopped at a Rouse's store in Lafayette today and was impressed by the selection of fresh, quality food that they have. How many of y'all shop at Rouse's?

Better than Albertson's and Winn Dixie, but not as good as Publix.

The best option we have on the ms gulf coast. However, all we have is walmart winndixie and rouses. Diamondhead rouses is far superior to os and gulfport rouses.

i like 'em
we dont have one here, but when i'm running the roads everyday i get to stop and make my own salad!

i'm really big on making my own salad, and i've used about two dozen different Rouse's in different cities for lunch(es).

I really like them in the New Orleans area. Most have been recently renovated.

Prices are cheaper than Winn Dixie and the local places (Dorignacs, Langensteins, Zuppardos, Roberts).

Ones in Mandeville/Covington differ greatly from store to store. Overall, I think they are really good though.

rouse's was good when they took over sav acenter initially. but then they went to shite a couple years later. honestly, i'd rather shop walmart's grocery.

publix not sure why people think publix is any good either.

I live around the corner from the Rouses in Y-ville. I shop there because its convenient. Clean store, good selection, but not cheap. I will occasionally shop at Super One or Walmart for meat and cheaper food items.

as others have mentioned, different stores have different ambiances

The Lafayette Rouse's is great. Using some smoked hocks from there tonight. Best hocks I've had for seasoning.

I shopped in a bunch of Publix's in south Florida. Never thought any of them were that great. Maybe it differs from area to area.

Personally I like Rouse's. The one downtown is nice.

I like it, but I support AG stores (Associated Grocers). And the produce market for produce.

Help keep the small businesses going.

Compared to most larger chains, I think they're pretty good. But I do find their prices high.

Their recent pushing of "Texas Star" beef is disturbing. It's just cheap, select beef... I respected them much more when they only carried choice and better.

I love their downtown store--a very much needed resource.

I mainly do my grocery shopping at Rouses and Winn-Dixie (both on Vets).

I like both.

I never go to Dorignac's , except to buy beer.

It 's an overpriced grocery that doubles as a geriatric ward.

Obviously not all their stores are equal. The one we frequented in Slidell (I-10 and Gause) was a great grocery store. Good place to find local stuff, clean, etc. Prices tend to be high but they usually have a pretty good set of sales on.

The only grocery store better than a good Rouses that I've been in are the newer HEB's. Our HEB in Katy (99 and Fry) is the best grocery store period.
