***Bumping this thread I started last year...LSU/Alleva/Tiger Nation needs to get these guys on the field this season instead of stupid pop acts that 90% of our fan base couldn't give one shite about***
Next year being the 20 year anniversary of the Bring Back the Magic campaign ( ), perhaps it might be fitting to honor Gerry and the legendary signing class that helped put LSU football back on the national stage...
I know I would love to see that
He burned out pretty hard at the end, but there were some undeniably awesome moments when Dinardo was head coach.

And we could do it when we play Texas A&M, since that was the first team we played when he coached.

The framework of the current program definitely began with DiNardo getting Kevin Faulk and regaining the edge in closing the borders to the likes of Florida State, Michigan, ND, Colorado, etc..

Who the hell knows WHERE we could have gone if Carl Reese hadn't skipped town and Lou Tepper had never happened....
Booger McFarland is from my hometown. It sucked to see his last two years end the way they did.

Yes it was. Different era, different checkbook

Maybe they could honor those guys before the auburn game next year since that was his first home game AND win over a #5 ranked team
Man, I tell you what, I'm getting pumped just thinking about it!

I miss those days. Back when tailgating wasn't the main thing and people stayed all 4 quarters.

Amen. You could park where you wanted too.

I can dig it.
Plus we should bring in Hal Hunter in 2019 for his Arkansas game 20 yr anniversary

Sounds like somebody needs to drop a line to the AD.

Tell me Tiger Stadium wouldn't be beyond loud when they announced Dinardo ' s name before next year's Auburn game, or at halftime
Gives me chills. I don't social media but this seems like something that could start at a grassroots level and works it way into Tiger Stadium.

I remember back in I think 2004 he was in BR doing the college gameday radio for the Oregon State game.

Pretty sure he did some espn broadcasts since he was canned. I miss the early Saban era, being underdogs was fun. There were a lot of night games, tailgating was great and we didn't expect to beat everyone. Being on top isn't always fun
