I was dragged into watching it from a political friend of mine two weeks ago. Watched all three seasons of it on Netflix. While I didn't hate and found it kind of addictive, this show is soooo awful. What are your thoughts on the over-dramatic scenes, which is EVERYONE...

Then you enjoyed watching it and it fulfilled it's intended purpose.

The show isn't some once in a generation tv show that's gonna win a ton of awards, but it's entertaining and it presents a broad story (and many many sub stories) that you can't wait to see play out.

That said, I'm halfway through season 3, and I'm fed up with Fitz. Dude is a spoiled, bratty, bitch.

Too dramatic for me. I know a lot of people that like it though.

I cannot stand Olivia Pope.

That character is a sanctimonious hypocritical brat.

If the show didn't focus so much on her I'd probably like it more though it's still pretty ridiculous for the most part.

She really is. Although it mirrors real life. A bunch of whiney, fricked up adults who can't get their shite together, wanting their cake and desiring to eat it too.

She gets mad at Fitz for some random bull shite, then she does that same bull shite. He gets mad at her, and the cycle goes on.

I also used to like Huck. Now I wouldn't care if they killed him off. Completely different character than he was season 1 and most of season 2. Initially a calm, collected individual with a shady back ground. Now he's easy controllable, vulnerable, off his rocker and weak.

On a side note, does anyone else think Mellie is getting hotter by the season?

Huck is by far the most interesting character an has always been emotionally fragile

I watch this show a lot yet I hate it so much because it basically glorifies infidelity. Thankfully they're moving away from that in the later half of season 3.

I hate Olivia because she stays with a married man constantly and has no problem breaking a family and marriage up. Same for fitz neglecting his wife and kids but he's showing signs of improvement and we could mellie and fitz rekindling their marriage next season. It'll be interesting to see what daddy pope's endgame is.

The wife loves it. I watched a few with her and was like "this feels like Greys Anatomy" and sure enough it's from the same creator and that's all I needed to know. I'll watch parts of episodes with her here and there, but I don't think I would enjoy binge watching 3 seasons. Way too much chick drama.

Despite the political chess setting, this is definitely a chick show.

I find it relatively entertaining. I really enjoyed the first season and thought it could have had way more promise than what it has.

The only demographic this show appeals to are black females.

Still not sure why.

That's exactly what bothers me about the show. They are basically saying that as long as you are crazy about someone, it's ok to cheat. Also, I can't stand the political points that they try to drive home. Other than that the show is extremely addictive.

Yeah, it's addictive, but I just have never been addicted to a bad show before. I try to find a character to like - and can't. The drama of everything is crazy. I thought the West Wing was too dramatic until I saw this.

And the fact that all these deaths and sex scandals happen and he STILL wins re-election in a two-Republican field is insane.
