Is Obama a Traitor? Dead serious.

Article III, Section 3 of the US Constitution defines treason as follows:
Obama signed off on (and, in fact, initially took credit for) the release of the Taliban 5, against the advice of his military and intelligence advisors, and in violation of the law. This act seems to pretty clearly provide "aid and comfort" to an enemy of the USA (the Taliban). Obviously, more than two people witnessed this.
If not treason, how about just straight out nonfeasance of office?
Obama (as every other President) swore an oath as required under Article II, Section 1, Clause 8:
As the US Supreme Court decided in the Arizona case last year, the US Government has the constitutional authority to regulate immigration and naturalization in the USA. His overt failure to do anything about the present invasion from the southern border (and, in fact, his "Dream Act" EO which is one of the motivators for this) is a clear violation of his oath of office.
quote:
Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court.

Even if he was, do you honestly think anything would be done about it, in this day and age of hyper political correctness? No one in Washington wants to be labeled a racist, which is 100% certain to happen if there are any attempts at impeachment.

If you want to convert an enemy into a friend on a limited basis for a specific reason and you give them something, or if you want to use an enemy for your own purpose and you give them something, is that treason? Sounds like you are trying to help us more than you are trying to help them.

If he is, then so was Reagan. And every President who negotiated with the enemy for POW swaps.
Dead serious.

I think it was necessary from a broader perspective to elect a black president. Over the long haul it will improve race relations and it adheres more to the original spirit of the Constitution. Now we just need to elect Hillary so women feel more included.

Obama's okay.
As long as you look like you could be his son.

If that's your reasoning, Can't we just find a gay latina vegan midget woman so we cover all our bases in one term

No, he is precisely who rational people that he would be (on the right and the left).
Those that voted for him knew that he would do as he has done...hell, he said he would do all of this stuff. They are well pleased. Ask any of the resident Obama voters on this board - they are pleased with him and his presidency.
Now, if you asked if he is a liar, that answer is different.
He is as pervasive of a liar as the WH has ever seen. That said, those that support him accept that about him because it is a necessary part of the overall agenda.
To be a traitor, IMO, he would have to do something that flies in the face of expectation. Nothing he has done has been a surprise for those that pay attention - on either side of the isle.
