Definitions, Max Fitness and Planet Fitness are out of the question.

Only thing I've found so far is spectrum. If I can't bench, dead lift and squat at a gym then I'm not joining so snap fitness and these anytime places aren't appealing.

You can do all that at anytime. Just depends on which one you go to and there set up, but lucky for you you can use them all.

Definitely Spectrum Southdowns! Speaking from experience, Ive been a member of some of these shitty gyms around town.... MAX, ANYTIME, SNAP. They have everything you need not to mention you can go to any spectrum in town, doesn't matter where you sign up! Go in and talk to Zack... good dude!

If you have blue cross insurance.. you can sign up through Blue65/Healthways and you will have access to most gyms in BR for 25$/month no contract.. last list I saw had foxy's, spectrum, anytime and many more... you have to log in and see which ones are currently participating. LINK

I use Spectrum on Perkins. Has multiple squat racks and benches. The only Spectrum currently participating in the Blue Cross membership is the one in Southdowns.

I've been a member of several gyms in BR over time, and I find that the YMCA is by far the best. Several locations, some have different equipment, and everybody there seems to be friendly. Not too many tank top bros with barbed wire tats looking angrily in the mirror at themselves.

I figured this would have been the first suggestion

ETA: I work out at YMCA. I like it. Close to my work too.
