I guess Dick Cheney wasn't expecting this type of treatment on FOX News. Hats off the Kelly, she may be conservative but she ain't no lockstepper.

quote:

"Time and time again, history has proven that you got it wrong as well in Iraq, sir. You said there was no doubt Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. You said we would be greeted as liberators. You said the insurgency was in its last throes back in 2005, and you said that after our intervention, extremists would have to 'rethink their strategy of jihad.' Now, with almost a trillion dollars spent there, with almost 4,500 American lives lost there, what do you say to those who say you were so wrong about so much at the expense of so many?"

Props to her. Because she is right.

Now, will other media outlets do the same to the current administration? Doubtful.

True, but after that she allowed Cheney to ramble on w/o challenging him. Either the producers told her to get with the game plan, or it was just a BS opening to see fair and all that shite.

Do you watch Fox News very much, TF? Fox was highly critical of the Bush administration, both the hard news side and the commentators. Even Hannity, the closest to a "lockstepper" trashed them for spending, bailouts, etc.

Nothing like what you get from the so-called "center" news and MSNBC - which is fawning support of the Democratic party.

Yes, I watch FOX News, and there were no voices of dissent with respect to W's Iraq War.

You obviously weren't watching when Obama was contemplating invading Syria, because the entire primetime lineup was slamming him over it, and even Al Sharpton took a break from kissing Obama's arse to pimp slap him.

Overstating your case. They might not have been overly critical of his administration (I don't watch TV news), but I doubt there were no voices of dissent.

Outside of Hannity, the Five, and F&F, no one on that channel is "lockstep".

That's what's funny about the left's wailing bitching and moaning about FNC.

They were pretty solid about the run up to the war and initial invasion, but they were very critical of Bremer's management, the massive problems prior to the surge, the mismanagement of the provisional government, etc.

They were not the cheerleaders for W that MSNBC is for Obama, that's absolutely certain - they were much more like CNN is now (but the other lean) - definitely right, but much more centered than the MSM and liberals suggest.

Beckel is the bomb! He's great IMO. He and Dana Perino are the only quality on that show.
