I'm really looking to learn more about charting and trends. Any one have any good book recommendations for a beginner or any helpful websites?

1. Trader Vic by Victor Sperandeo
2. Trading for a Living by Alexander Elder
3. How to Make Money in Stocks by William O'Neil

These are some of my favorites.

A few tips if just starting out. Longer term charts tell you much more about trends than shorter term charts. You can see what you want to see if you look at a short term (60 minute or less) chart long enough. Monthly, weekly, and daily charts are where a beginner needs to be.

One other thing, technical analysis, just like fundamental analysis is just another tool for a trader/investor. The most important thing is risk management (ie being prudent with position size, knowing when to take your loss, and knowing when to double down).

Haven't received yet but have heard good things.

Alternatively, you could just buy a ouija board.
