How in the blue hell could they afford that? If they could just land either one, they would have to dump Asik at least, and probably more.

I was watching an interview where Charles Barkely was asked about the idea of Melo going to Miami and he called them a bunch of cowards.

Lebron ain't going to HTown.

Melo would be hilarious though. That would be a shitshow.

Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Barkley basically force his way out of philly because he had no supporting cast to play with kj?

whatever it takes to get another big to shake loose, improving our chances in getting one, and hopefully lowering the market.

He was basically begging them for a trade for like 2 or 3 seasons because their front office didn't want to spend any money.

A little different then teaming up with 3 of the top 5 guys in their own draft class to chase championships.

Chuck wasn't taking a pay cut

Was a big Barkley fan, but he did go to Houston to play with Pippen and the Dream. Wasn't Drexler there too? Granted they weren't in their prime at the time.

Pippen was a shell of himself when he got there, but I'm pretty sure it was just Dream and Clyde. I believe that's the year Stockton beat us with that buzzer beater in the WCF

Harden is already on record saying they don't need any big moves. Melo to Houston in a move that somehow turns Gordon into Asik is about as perfect an offseason as I can imagine.

I'd be okay with that.

That's the thing...I don't think people have issues with old men teaming up (see Celtics and Lakers). It's guys that team up in their prime that piss people off.

Having 3 HOFers was cancelled out by starting Matt Maloney at PG

Dammit I had almost forgotten that name, thanks for bringing it up
No way he was stopping one of the top 3 PGs of all time
