This one is tough for me. What say you?

I think they are both great but in different ways. My vote would be Fast Times

That is a hard call. I will go with Fast Times for 2 reasons:

One takes place in the span of one day, one an entire year. Both are great in different ways. Personally I like Breakfast Club better, but it's close.

Fast Times is a guilty pleasure movie. Breakfast club is the better movie overall.

Love Fast Times.
Breakfast Club sucks.
This is a no-brainer.

"People On Lude's should not drive"
Fast Times and it isn't even close...
Now if you want to put the Hollywood Knights in the conversation it will be a lot closer..

Fast Times by a nose.
Breakfast Club is a lifeboat analogy - a very short snapshot of a relatively artificial throwing together of high school cliches - still one of the very best teen movies of all time (and directly targeted at me - I graduated HS in 1985).
Fast Times is more broadly about the high school experience of the 80s, and more specifically about coming of age in high school during that era - and that movie came out my freshman year.
I completely get and like both movies - they are, along with Ferris Bueller, the most rewatchable films of their genre - perhaps throwing in Dazed and Confused as a fourth.

Breakfast Club. Hands down.

Great film, but I don't consider it quite the same genre - has more in common with Porky's, Meatballs and Animal House, in my opinion.

I don't really care much for either, so I'll say Breakfast Club.

No brainer.
Fast Times.
BC was pretentious.

I would vote for Fast Times... But I really like The Breakfast Club too.
Phoebe > Molly

At least at that time.
Plus, Fast Times is the second film credit for Sean Penn and Forest Whitaker, actors who would go on to win best actor Oscars.
Roy Walston > Paul Gleason
The main weak spot for Fast Times is Jennifer Jason Leigh - but she overachieved in the part.

By "better' do you mean more enjoyable? Fast Times by a mile.

Fast Times at Ridgemont High

Fast Times, though I was more the age of Breakfast Club when it came out.
Fast Times was far more authentic. Even at the time I laughed at Judd Nelson being one of that school's "toughs."
I really like them both, but Fast Times is just better.

This^^,but the Phoebe Cates scene alone make Fast Times memorable.
My favorite is 16 Candles.
