Family with service dog for epileptic son was refused reservation at local hotel. I did not watch the video but read the article but all the comments say it was the Best Western.

I will give them the bird next time I'm on Siegen.

A civil rights attorney could make a name for themselves if he/she really wanted to.

Kinda sad. Though the service dog trend is out of control, any random pretentious bitch can tell her doctor she gets anxious while flying and can get a paper for a service dog.

It has become an abused privilege.

Incidents like this is expected in towns like Tuscaloosa, Jackson and Monroe. Shame on my home town for letting this happen, shame on you.

I'm on the fence with these incidents, service dogs are being allowed for crazy reasons.

I'm assuming this dog is trained to bark if he goes into a seizure, so I really don't have a problem with this being a detriment to Best Western.

People with dogs for anxiety reasons at a restaurant? Yeah, do some cognitive therapy and take some pills like the rest of us, assholes.

Not as easy as you think anymore, at least not internationally. When the ex moved to London for a year she had to fed ex her Cockapoo to the UK after dropping TONS of money on shots and airfare. She had doctors note allowing her to fly with her pup but Delta said differently. When all said in done she dropped around $3k to get that cockapoo to London.

They are independently owned, and most low budget hotels like this are run by penny pinching assholes. So this isn't really surprising no matter the location.

Looks like the Radisson honored a new reservation.

these dogs can sense when the kid goes into seizure, whether the kid is awake or asleep. the dog alerts the adults and valuable time can be saved to stop the seizure before serious, permanant damage is done

some crazy bitch who is anxious? please.

Yes, a good way not to make any money back on your investment is to own a hotel chain. That is for sure.

Plenty of them make money. But there's a certain segment of these in particular that are individually owned & operated and are not under an umbrella management/ops company that are generally terrible.

Violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act...kids mom is an attorney specializing in disability issues. Might not end well as far as that owner's franchise agreement is concerned.
