I ate lunch at the one in BR a week or so ago and have not been in awhile. The jackasses I was with knew I was picking up the tab and all three of them ordered the frikking king cut filet and a bunch of sides. $340 for lunch and not one drop of liquor.

I'm glad that deal is done and the three of them can rest assured they have eaten well on the last meal I will ever have to buy for them.

Well Geauxt I don't know what the hell ROI means. I do know on my end in the big picture I came out with a much better deal than a big steak and they have no clue how much better. I don't mind but a $47 king cut filet is a waste of money. They could have ordered the t bone or porterhouse which has tons more flavor but they wanted to be dandy's. I had the t bone medium rare and it was pretty damn good.

I like em too. I'm not a fan of their canned hormel tamales, but I do like all of their big tender chunks of steak.

roi, in this particular sitchyashun means "return on investment". I have a sneakin' suspicion that your roi was pretty good on this purchase.

Maybe Doe's will have better luck there than they did in Lafayette

Likely they will. Less competition up here, and NELA folks love themselves some Doe's.

monroe is a small part of the makeup of the great and true food mecca of the state of louisiana. this gourmet triangle, sometimes called the "burr mood ah triangle", encompasses culinary destinations such as west monroe, rayville, coon pecker point, sterlington, farmerville, nip n' tuck, greater bawcomville and yes, monroe.

eta: dale, where will the new and improved dairy queen be located in west mecca? hopefully this time, upwind of the sale barn and the paper mill.

I know the old boy Doug (can't remember last name) that owned all the Baskin Robbins. Think he drank them away and is selling used Pontiacs now.

Not sure of the locations. His folks had them, gave to him and whiskey washed them away. And I believe Toyotas is right, last I heard.

I know the dude that rides around in the Neville Jeep or whatever yellow vehicle he has now. Strange cat.
