Give me a new HBO-go series to get in to

I've seen GoT, The Wire, tried to get into True Detective but couldn't, and Sopranos.
Shoot me some ideas on what series to watch next and give me some reasoning as to why
Edit: was speaking more of drama type shows, I've seen eastbound and down

I'd suggest Silicon Valley if you want a comedy. It's hilarious and easy to catch up on with only 8 episodes (season one just ended).

I loved that show. ETA: You might like Boardwalk Empire. It's a period drama that looks great. It has Michael K. Williams in it who played Omar in The Wire.

Generation Kill: Awesome series about the 2nd Gulf War from the perspective of the soldiers of the Marine First Recon. Has humor, combat, and shows the ugly side of the war. And I don't mean that so much as the rigor of battle but of the ineptitude of some of the US officer corp.
I like it about as much as I like BoB.

Rome was great, original, and groundbreaking for its time.
Deadwood was "meh"
Boardwalk empire was great the first couple of seasons, then I just got burned out.
True blood was also very entertaining the first few seasons. Then got really old.
Entourage is a classic.
East bound and down was absolutely one of the funniest shows I've seen the first season, second season sucked. But watch the first.

Rome was great. It very similar to GOT.
Haven't seen it in years though so you may be spoiled by GOT. However, it's a fantastic show.
