Firstly, I love these guys. Love em.

But, what is their connection to the USA. Are they citizens now? Is it just a smart marketing move to act like they care for us so much? They obviously sound super British, yet they openly root for the USA and say "we" in regards to us. Would they root for the US over England?

Just curious and was having trouble finding a lot of biographical info on them.

Come on.

They love America, but they're not rooting for another country to beat their own.

Men in Blazers really are the best on US Soccer. I love them. I feel like they have experienced so much following the national team that they have a grown appreciation for the direction of US Soccer. I doubt they would pick USA over England but I have no clue...

Germericans do it...

Rog would probably root for the US. Davies wouldn't. Even if neither would, I'm completely fine with it. They do a ton for our squad with Men in Blazers, the Inside series, and things like their USMNT send off event. I respect that.

I think it's a kind of Rudy situation. We want it so bad, and try so hard but we just don't have the tools. Tell me you were all meh when Rudy got that sack.

They've both been here a long time. Bennett got in here in '94 I think and Davies maybe around the same time.

They've experienced the growth the sport has experienced in this country and they love the excitement American fans have for the sport.

It's definitely not sarcastic since Bennett directed and produced the entire Inside U.S. Soccer series but their jokes are always on point.

Been listening to them for a couple of years now.

Basically they have both lived in the US for multiple decades. Neither are actually US citizens though Roger is is discussing doing so after the world cup. Could be a joke but I kind of think he's serious. They both have kids who are growing up as Americans in New York.

Roger Bennett is ESPN's primary soccer beat writer covering the USMNT. He was born and raised in Liverpool. Big Everton fan. Proudly Jewish.

Michael Davies (aka Davo) is a producer of primarily reality television shows and runs a production company called Embassy Row Studios, which is where he and Roger generally broadcast. He went to a private school in PA for high school along with Bernicio Del Toro and Rebecca Lowe (of NBC Sports Soccer coverage).

On yesterday's podcast Rog said he would become a U.S. citizen if we won the world cup
