Going into Germany. A win all but guarantees we advance. Hell of a win!

And if Germany wins the next game, you know they are resting their main guys. A draw all but guarantees round 2 (Belgium?).

Of course a draw against Portugal is no guarantee.

Very true but we are in as good of shape as we could ask for after 1 game.

Outside of the injury (injuries?), I agree.

Portugal lost 3 starters and you can tell Ronaldo isn't passing the rest of the tournament.

Its like Argentina with Messi, the best player may win you a game. Eventually, youll get exposed.

Fwiw I don't blame him. They all sucked today besides the Almeida sub, Edil.

Ronaldo scares me against this USA team.
Ghana's game plan was get the ball to their best player no matter what, and the ended up having a lot of opportunities.
If Portugal uses a similar game plan, I would hate to see how well it would work with Ronaldo.

Best Portugal and have Germany beat Ghana and the US advances before they even play Germany.

Then the US and Germany will jack each other off and play for the draw in game 3.

Just get to the knockout stage and I'll take Brazil. You have to play the best teams at some point.

Our group plays group H in the round of 16 and that's the weakest group out there imo. Brazil wouldn't be until the semis or title depending on seeding

I think that the French group and the Argentine group are both weaker, and when it comes to a top dog, I'd love to face the winner of the Colombia group (especially without Falcao).

That being said, South Korea or Russia would be a dream opponent for ze Germans.
