Just turrable, but no rational person didn't see this type of thing coming once we put a timeline on total withdrawal. The Syrian conflict has just bumped it up in time and intensity.

Hopefully the Kurds can hold fast, the Iraqi government can get their shite together and mount a respectable counter attack

What a bunch of goddamn savages. The middle east has to be the biggest shithole on Earth. I look forward to the day when we can completely ignore these sub-human beasts.

Great foreign policy there horseteeth.

This is an interesting dynamic - as more and more time passes, Iraq is becoming more and more like Mexico w/the cartel problems.

Corruption/Graft: Check
People running for safety: Check
Guns being imported from outside w/out Gov't intervention: Check
Weak Admin: Check

I feel for those innocent Iraqi's, but as Booz claimed, they are going to have to pick up their own weapons like the Autodefensas have done in Mehico.

Do you propose we reengage and get involved in the Iraqi civil war again?

Iraq is a fake country created by British Bureaucrats following WWII...it needs to be divided into 3 - Kurdish North, Sunni East-Central and Shiite South. And they need to figure this out on their own.

It was never going to work....you could keep troops there for 50 years and it still would've come to this.

Were you in favor of a longer more muscular presence?

Do you think there should be a next move? Do you or don't you want to have continued military involvement in a ME civil war?

Yeah, everyone knew this power vacuum would eventual start to even itself out. They will kill each other for the next 50 years with help from neighboring countries. That whole region will be a meat grinder because none of these fighters have an interest in a peaceful state. They all want to be united under a religious government who's main goal is to slaughter any opposition. They are mostly all uneducated and have no intentions of bettering their country.

Yet another reason American citizens shall and will never give up the right to bear arms. This sort of shite won't happen to an armed population.

Yea I've heard there's a real shortage of guns and other weapons in Iraq. Real hard to find I'm sure.

This whole thing is playing out like "Game of Thrones: The Home Game", where you really can't tell who the good guys are.
