Anyone remember how the pros were going to destroy Merion last year in scoring?

What is this shite this year? Screw this course. Put the open back to the old school traditional courses (Shinecock or Wing Foot). Hell, have Merion, Pebble, and others on a rotation.

I am bored watching Kaymer. Like the PGA he won at Whistling (oh, another meh course).

That's all with my rant.

Pinehurst wasnt a meh course until they decided to turn it into a cow pasture.

Kaymer is the only one doing it

It's just his day

The other players are struggling like any typical us open

Sure, it looks different and natural....but trek it up to punish for bad shots. Let that natural shite overgrow. This is weak shite and boring to watch.

Merion last year, it was fun watching them struggle on a short course.

He hits almost every fairway and 24 straight greens. That's just fantastic golf. Nothing about course.

14 are under par, 9 of which are only -1

Lol. 14 total and of that 9 are only one under. Considering that rain it got last night, that's still a tough course. With no rain most would shoot over par today.

You realize 10 guys are under par. When is the last time a US Open course had that many on the board at this time of the tourney? I love JB Holes, but he is under par. Come on, course has no teeth. The USGA better let it dry up and hope for some wind.

Absolutely. USGA should call
Mother Nature and tell her to stop raining.

Also last year I think 7-8 were under par at one time.

Rained at Merion last year.

Pointing out how Merion was getting slammed on being short and it was going to get destroyed in scoring. Did not turn out to be the case.

Everyone talked all week how 2 was going to be a challenge this week.

You are also trying to point out pinehurst is playing easy. Which is a retarded statement.

Congressional should not sniff hosting another Open. Fricking Tiger is finding ways to move his tourney from there.

And it is a huge challenge. Lol. With the rain they can get it faster and not worry about the women. So I'd say not many will be under Saturday

I think you made my point. Women playin the course in a couple weeks, don't think the USGA made it challenging

We will see, it probably toughen up. But a tourney with Kaymer winning is a snooze fest (it was bad when it was him and Donald playing the match play).
