Meh. Do they have anything that is proprietary? Just asking because I don't know much about it other than it's a camera that you can strap on your head.

I was looking at this when another poster mentioned this company. How do they make money when there is no charge for trades. Is there zero fees. I know that I have a monthly automatic buy in Walmart stock and they charge me a buck a transaction. Is there just no charge by Loyal3 or no charge at all?

I can't answer your original question but I can say that just about every reality TV show and news broadcast you see on TV today uses GoPro cameras. It's not just a camera that you strap to your head.

This will change my life. Now every dime I make from yard work or odd jobs will go to KO, TGT, or UL.

Marketing is really impressive. I own a GoPro Hero 3 and the whole thing is very MEH. When cellphones are 100% waterpoof (there already?), the whole business will tank.

No they won't. Camera is way better, way more features and more duable.

Think about what you just wrote. I'm not trying to be a sarcastic arse but who even carries a regular camera anymore since cellphone quality has improved? The same thing will happen to the gopro. It simply isn't worth the money.

Think about what you just wrote, no one carries a point and shoot. PLENTY of people have SLR's. People don't buy go pros to shoot video of their kids rising their bike or other everyday things. People use them for very specific events or activities where they want high quality. I'm never gonna mount my cell phone to my ski helmet or mountain bike.

Eta: when I said camera before I meant the optics on the gopro

Umm...yea

This video pretty much speaks volumes. The technology will only improve. I just don't see gopro as a viable business in the future.

LOL

That's your idea of a test, two random video with no mention of settings or conditions?

Also gopro isn't waterproof, why have anyone started selling mounts and waterproof casing for their phones to compete with gopro? Because they don't compete with each other.

No one is buying a gopro and thinking " if only my phone was waterproof I wouldn't need this"

I'd have some concerns about their growth but that's more about saturating the market, not being replaced by cell phones

Just answer this.

What can the GoPro do that current smartphones can not?

Slightly better video? -Probably. Better 5 years from now? No way.

Is that it? As cellphone technology improves, there simply won't be a market for the GoPro. I bet the stock nosedives when all the shorts get on it.

I'm not gonna list all the options but there are a bunch. Just like an SLR will always have better quality than a cell phone the same for go pro.

A large chunk of go pro consumers have more than one. They are used all over the film industry. It's not only the quality but the convince. I don't want to have to unmount my shite to use my cell phone, plus it has way more glass to be damaged.

For Gopro target customer, cell phones won't replace it.

I'm not saying anything about the performance of the stock. Just that cell phones won't replace gopro.

Why did you buy a gopro instead of buying the mount for your cell phone?
